Blake Shelby is the vice president of sales and marketing for Precision Shooting Equipment (PSE), which is based in Tucson, Arizona. He was elected to the ATA Board in April 2013, and his term runs through March 31, 2016.
Shelby is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, his hometown. He still lives in Monroe with his wife, Olivia, and two daughters, Sydney and Cassidy.
He began his career in archery/bowhunting industry more than 20 years ago as editor of Southern Whitetails magazine. He went on to become the publisher at Intermedia Outdoors, marketing director at Remington Arms and Stren fishing line, and marketing director at Mossy Oak/Haas Outdoors before becoming marketing director at PSE in 2007. He was promoted to his current position at PSE in January 2014.
Shelby oversees PSE’s regional sales managers and manages its national accounts. He also spearheads the branding, targeting and promotional output of PSE’s marketing arm.
Shelby’s background in the industry allows him to help guide the ATA’s efforts to grow the industry and its archery and bowhunting sports. “It’s an honor to serve on the ATA Board,” Shelby said. “PSE has been a huge supporter of the ATA and the annual ATA Trade Show, and we respect the way the ATA includes everyone in its programs and looks out for its members. We look forward to helping the ATA craft its strategic plans for the future. It’s a well-organized operation that leaves nothing to chance.”
