Jonathan Shepley, president of Precision Shooting Equipment Inc. (PSE), was elected to the ATA Board of Directors in March 2013 during his first Board candidacy. His term expires March 31, 2016. PSE has been an ATA member since the company's inception in 1971. Today PSE is one of the world's leading bow and crossbow manufacturers.
Shepley's election returns PSE to the ATA Board for the first time since 2009, when his father, Pete, served. "In today's marketplace, we must promote archery and its associated high-tech equipment," Jonathan said. "With the huge success of archery products in the media today, we must capitalize on that positive exposure to promote hunting and competitive archery products."
Jonathan began working at PSE in 1992 while in high school. In 2005 he became PSE's vice president of sales and marketing, and then was promoted to president in 2011. As president of PSE, Jonathan is responsible for all operations, including production, marketing, sales, budgeting and product development. He's also responsible for establishing the company's strategic direction, vision and goals.
Jonathan believes the ATA must help promote bowhunting for recreation and big-game management. "We have to keep working together to ensure the ATA can help state fish and wildlife departments with their missions," he said. "We're in this together."
