ATA Articles on Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan

Congressman Paul Ryan has been an important ally of hunters and the archery industry since his election to Congress in 1999 at age 28. Through his work with the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, which he chaired four years, Ryan met and became friends with ATA CEO/President Jay McAninch, who was then working for the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation. During his 13-plus years in Congress, Ryan has regularly stepped forward to help the archery and bowhunting industry, often on his own. "I like working with the archery industry because it's a sport that's done a lot for me," Ryan said.
