Archery Academy Packs them In

More than 60 archery dealers packed into Room D321 Tuesday morning to hear archery pro Len Marsh of Maryland discuss technical tricks to help beat their competition as the ATA Archery Academy kicked off the start of the 2012 ATA Trade Show.

Marsh's standing-room-only crowd filled one of 11 seminar rooms in the D200 concourse. The Archery Academy featured 11 professionals discussing a range of topics from bow tuning to tips for using today's social media to build your business. In all, 264 archery pros attended Tuesday's seminars, including 43 who attended Teijo Villa's popular "Bow Tuning Procedures" class and 40 who attended Bernie Pellerite's classic "Understanding Bow Fit & Balance, Plus Shooting Form" presentation.

The morning seminars begin at a new time 7:15 a.m., 15 minutes before its starting time from previous years. The new time helps accommodate the Trade Show's new 8:30 starting time, a half-hour earlier than before. The seminars' continental breakfast now begins at 6:45 a.m., and will be available Wednesday and Thursday mornings atop the escalators in the D200 concourse of the Convention Center.

Twelve more seminars will be held Wednesday morning, including a repeat performance by Marsh, "Tactical Sales Strategies" by Marcy Reese of Virginia, and "Controlling Cam Lean" by Nate Grace."
