Director of Marketing
As the ATA’s marketing director, Kurt Weber is responsible for developing the ATA’s brand and maintaining its standards. He is also responsible for growing and managing all ATA Trade Show programs and corporate-sponsorship opportunities. Kurt does this by creating strategic partnerships that target the Show. His goal is to improve the Show experience and value for exhibitors and attendees.
Kurt graduated from the University of Delaware in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in political science. He has spent most of his career in sales and marketing, but concedes he was “sidetracked” several times into business ownerships, and once into elected office. Kurt is retired and works as an ATA consultant.
Kurt’s passion is golf (he carries a 12 U.S. Golf Association handicap, and occasionally shoots in the mid-70s once he sheds winter’s rust), but he also enjoys shooting his bow and other outdoor activities.
Kurt has been married to his wife, Sue, since 1982. He has two daughters, Elizabeth and Lauran, and one “very spoiled” golden retriever named Cooper. Kurt and Sue split their time between York, Pennsylvania, and Ocean City, Maryland. They love the beach, the ocean and everything seafood.
“The most rewarding aspect of my job is that I help companies brand and promote themselves at the ATA Trade Show,” Kurt said. “Exhibiting at the Show is a significant investment. I like finding creative ways for companies to maximize their investments.”
Kurt owned and operated a commercial photography studio in the 1980s. He sold printing and graphic arts in the 1990s, and then sold advertising in the early 2000s before buying The Flinchbaugh Co., Butler Mobility Products, G Kurtz Industries and Apple Archery Products with partner Gregg Jenkins. He has nearly 30 years of experience in all facets of brand management, marketing, promotions and sales.
