Update Your Information, Reach New Customers on Small-Business Saturday

Soon we’ll serve turkey dinners and Christmas hams, but nestled between the festive celebrations is another important holiday you shouldn’t overlook. Mark your calendars and plan your sales because Nov. 25 is Small Business Saturday, and this holiday rakes in money. According to Forbes, U.S. consumers spent $16.2 billion on Small Business Saturday in 2015.

Small Business Saturday is a shopping holiday dedicated to supporting small businesses and everything they do for their communities. Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, during one of the year’s busiest shopping periods.

First things first: The ATA steers customers to your store during the holidays and throughout the year by promoting posts on Google and social-media sites that send customers to the ATA’s store locator. But they won’t find you if your store’s information isn’t up to date. To get in on the action as consumers buy gifts for friends and family, update your information with the Archery Trade Association as soon as possible. Doing so ensures your name, address, services, website link and contact information are accurate in the ATA’s store locator, Show Guide and mobile app. It’s an easy way to drive traffic to your door and put cash in your register.

The store locator lets customers use their computers or mobile devices to find the nearest archery store. You’ll find the store locator on the Archery 360 and Bowhunting 360 websites.

The ATA also publishes your store information in the Show Guide and Membership Directory, and mobile app. The Show Guide and Membership Directory is distributed at the ATA Trade Show. It’s a convenient document with valuable contact information for networking and capitalizing on business opportunities. The ATA Trade Show mobile app is available for download, and is packed with features to help maximize your time at the Show. It’s also another way ATA members can search for businesses. The deadline to update your store information for the Show Guide and mobile app is Nov. 30.

Take a moment to confirm or update your shop’s contact information in the member login portal on the ATA website. That quick check ensures customers find you with the store locator, and businesses find you for networking opportunities.

The sooner the better! By updating your information, customers will find you while shopping in your community Nov. 25.
